
The state House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday to repeal the so-called “Amazon tax” that was created last year by state Democrats, as part of an attempt to close an enormous state budget shortfall.
Repealing the bill was part of a budget deal struck by Republicans and Democrats earlier in the session. The Democrats conceded the repeal, along with several other tax bills passed last year, in exchange for concessions from the Republicans.
